1992

To mark ten years at the forefront of artistic innovation, the Zap celebrated with a season of new commissions and premieres by performers who had been linked to the club since its first gig in the New Oriental Hotel in April 1982. These included John Dowie, Ian Smith, Laurie Booth, Roy Hutchins, Liz Aggis, JJ Waller, Duchess V Dentate and Sue Long.

Zap instigated a meeting of UK arts producers and arts officers at the ICA to propose establishing a street arts festival network in London and the regions. This became the National Street Arts Festival network.
