In addition to the Streets of Brighton, the resort benefited from two other Zap inspired events, a Circus Festival in Preston and a Waterfront Festival centred around the West Pier.
Further along the coast in Hastings Coastal Currents was started. This was a Visual and Combined Arts Festival designed to showcase over nine weeks the very best open studios and gardens, exhibitions, walks, talks, mini festivals and workshops from over hundred artists living and working along the coastline from Bexhill to Dungeness.
Behind the scenes Zap Productions was undergoing an organisational review by art consultant Peter Boyden. The aim was to plot the organisation's future following a decline in demand for street art post the frenzy generated by the National Street Arts Festival.
