200227 and 28 December
6th Tunbridge Wells Winter Street Festival
Year six of the Winter Street Festival in Tunbridge Wells offered a mix of comedy, aerobatics, music, circus and walkabout performances to chase away the post-Christmas blues. Of particular note were the Tudor Time Queens who dressed in Elizabethan costume and used mobiles and plastic shopping bags as part of their performance.
Other shows included a journey into the lost world of the Victorian sideshow with The Strangelings and their Gaiety Engine’ and Mischief la Bas with their Red Man/Blue Man fellows. The finale was a parade by the Brincadeira Samba Band and Red Earth’s flaming fire engine followed by a fantastic light and fireworks performance by pyrotechnic wizards World Famous entitled Angelica’.
