9th Streets of Brighton
Described as the "UK’s biggest showcase of street art”, the ninth Streets of Brighton took place during the Brighton Festival with more than a hundred companies taking part. Daytime highlights included renowned performance art company People Show and acrobats Mimbre with their 2003 creation ?Z’. In addition, there were new Streets of Brighton commissions such as a show from The Invisible Men and another from Clowns Anonymous inspired by ?Some Like it Hot’.

Evening shows celebrated innovative new shows from UK companies: ?Sister Sister’ from Scottish performance company Boilerhouse (Thursday 8 May); ?Tattoo’, a new large scale outdoor show (Friday 9 May) and ?Runga Rung’, a dynamic fusion of British urban life, contemporary British Asian culture, Indian traditions, Carnival and Fiesta from Emergency Exit Arts (Saturday 10 May).
