Shoom Party

Sometime in June
Jubilee Gardens, opposite the Houses of Parliament

Shoom Party
With the acid sound infiltrating Britain (championed by DJs Danny Rampling, Nicky Holloway, Carl Cox, Trevor Fung, Paul Oakenfold and Johnny Walker who'd all been to Ibiza in the summer of 1987), the Zap Club put on Shoom in a marque opposite the Houses of Parliament.

The sweat came down like rain and the audience was issued with ear defenders, while the windows of the Houses of Parliament rattled as acid house beats blasted out across the Thames.
