By now a popular feature of festivals throughout the country, the Zap Tent was erected in Sheffield as part of its year long Festival of Festivals ?89.

Sponsored by Heineken, it hosted a ten-day programme of music and comedy. Topping the musical line up were John Martyn, Alan Price, Courtney Pine, Tom Robinson and the Real Sounds of Africa.

Amongst the comedy acts were the Comedy Store Players including Paul Merton and Josie Lawrence who had recently been seen on the novel TV show ?Who’s line is it anyway?’.
