200611 - 13 May
12th Streets of Brighton
The twelfth Streets of Brighton featured a Groupe F pyrotechnic display and the premiere of 'Souterrain' by Wild Works. A reworking of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, this piece captured the imagination of audiences, selling out just one day into its run.
In total, over 4,000 people followed the story through the village of Stanmer; engrossed by the performances of the international cast, admiring the sunsets, listening to the community choir, writing down their memories, intrigued by the shrines created by the residents of the local village and eating cake.
