1986

1986 saw the Zap providing outreach entertainment for community groups across Brighton with lots of sex, art and eroticism to sack the senses in the Zap Club and beyond.

There was also A Golden Opportunity’ from Bleeding Obelisk and the Zap’s first circus tent. This was a venue for rock, pop and cabaret and became a Festival centre for tell-your-friends music, comedy, performance and everything interestingly alternative.

On the programme was a Best of the Festival’ slot (hosted on Wednesdays by Ian Smith and on Fridays by Simon Fanshawe) in which the best bands and performers were featured.
