Tunbridge Wells Winter Street Festival

27 – 29 December
Tunbridge Wells

Tunbridge Wells Winter Street Festival
2000 was the fourth year of the Tunbridge Wells Winter Street Festival. Sponsored by the Courier Newspapers group and Invicta FM, it featured a four-day programme of street arts including a new walkabout performance commissioned by the National Street Arts Festival. ?Watching You Watching Me’ was presented by The Better Halves and offered a comic insight on a British Institution, the Couch Potato.

As part of a national scheme of celebratory events for the year 2000, the Millennium Festival funded the finale. This was a parade and performance created by community groups working with professional artists. ?The Millennium Love Parade’, took the theme of love to warm up the winter streets and welcome in the New Year with passion.
